Timothy Harris is recognised worldwide as one of the leading designers and Makers of studio glass.

Founded in 1973 by Michael Harris, Isle of Wight Studio Glass has developed its own highly imaginative and innovative approach to glass design. This tradition is now continued by Michael’s Son, Timothy. His outstanding technical skills and continual development of new designs and techniques has kept the studio in
Arreton, at the forefront of studio glass worldwide.

Many of Timothy’s designs have required ground-breaking techniques, for example, the application of 22ct gold and silver to the surface of hot glass. This process was perfected by the studio in 1978 and is probably its most recognisable design feature and pieces incorporating this flagship technique are avidly collected.
