Susie Bee is a Fine Artist from Hertfordshire, whose love of animals and her work with animal rescue charities has informed her current body of work. She develops the qualities of colour pencil and soft pastel to capture and instil the personality of her subjects.

Drawing pet portrait commissions, Susie has created an extensive illustrative body of cats, dogs, guinea pigs, ferrets and horses. Recently, her work has evolved to incorporate all animals – including dung beetles in an illustrated book for children!

Susie’s rescue whippet Dylan is still one of her favourite models and will always happily pose for Bonios.

Exhibited shows have seen Susie’s illustrations at the Barbican and the Crypt Gallery in London and currently she exhibits with the Hitchin Art Hub.

Training at the University of Hertfordshire, Susie graduated with a First-Class Honours degree in Fine Art which has seen her grow into a professional teaching role.
