Ruth has been working in papier mache since 2012 and completed an MA in Fine Art at NUA in 2018.

She uses discarded printed materials from her past life.

Ruth’s work is based on her relationship with the environment, particularly inspired by daily walks in North Norfolk. For her, the papier-mache processes of ripping, pulping, forming, drying and sanding, echo the erosion, reforming, growth and decay of the earth.

Ruth is interested in constraint and transformation.
