DANIELLE WADE (Polly's Textiles)

Danielle graduated from the Design Crafts Degree Course at Lowestoft College and during her time there she won a Textile Design Competition and took part in various Exhibitions. She decided to continue designing and making, so set up her own workshop and business in 2010.

Focusing on the processes of dyeing fabrics such as silk, cotton and linen. Then combining with various printing techniques such as devore discharge, metallic and textured inks; creating rich surface patterns.

Danielle’s hand dyed fabrics are screen printed with imagery from her drawings and sketches which she then makes and sews into a selection of ‘Beautifully Purposeful’ products. Her range includes aprons, cushions,
table runners, wash-bags, shoulder bags, purses and pencil cases.

She also makes smaller items such as lavender bags, glasses cases and embroidered cards, which can be personalised for special occasions.

She takes on commissions; creating items to Customer’s own specifications, such as lamp-shades, bean bags and lengths of fabric for table-cloths and roman blinds.
