Encaustic Art: Individual Wax Blocks (Mixers, Neons and Pastels)
Encaustic Art: Individual Wax Blocks (Colours)
Made with beeswax, resin and pigment which can be kept molten on a heated palette, it can be applied to an absorbent surface and then reheated in order to fuse the paint.
Since the wax can be reheated and worked with, it is extremely versatile, it can be polished to a high gloss, carved, scraped, layered, collaged, dipped, cast, moddelled, sculpted, textured and combined with oil.
It cools immediately so there is no drying time.
Encaustic Art paintings do not have to be varnished or protected by glass because the wax is its own protector.
